I am a graduate student at Stony Brook University working on my PhD in Physics/Astronomy.
I currently reside at the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) where I am working
on my dissertation research in the department of Astrophysics.  My major research interests center
around low mass stars and brown dwarfs. My thesis is focused on the kinematics of these ultra cool
dwarfs (UCDs). I am interested in what we can learn about the age, potential associations, and
physical properties of these objects by studying their space motions. Prior to entering graduate
school in 2004 I worked in the education department at AMNH coordinating Astrophysics
outreach endeavors in the NYC area.
